It seems to be that staying slim is in these days, and one of the most talked about problems is the process of  losing belly fat. This occurs when you watch TV or a movie with a bag of popcorn and soda nearby. While you are watching, you unconsciously dump lots of calories into your body. This will lead to you ingesting  excess calories, and you don’t want that. Become aware of what you are putting into your body, and start to make better choices.

Get Enough Sleep

According to researchers, sleep loss causes your body to think it is hungry even though it is already full. Inadequate sleep affects hormones that regulate your appetite resulting to additional food intake.

Keep a Food Diary

By using a diary, you could keep track on what you have been eating in the past few days. This promotes better regulation on how much and what kind of food you might want to eat next time.

Avoid Sugary Food

Losing belly fat means losing those desserts, but this does not mean you should avoid sugar completely. Avoiding sugary food could simply mean limiting yourself to a slice of cake, or stopping yourself from eating just one more candy bar. When sugar is digested by the body it is turned into guess what….. fat.

Eating smaller, healthier portions more frequently is a lot better than eating some larger meals and then skipping some altogether. Your body will go into starvation mode because it doesn’t know when the next meal is coming, so it stores fat for later use.You can avoid this by eating 6-8 smaller meals in a day.

This point could not be stressed enough. If you want to start losing belly fat, you should be aware of what you are doing in the first place. If your priority is to get slim, you should be mindful of what you are putting into your body. You should be mindful of what kind activities you are engaging in.
