So You Can’t Lose Weight ?

Have you been struggling for a long time wondering why you can’t lose weight?  Have you gone over the many different tips on how to lose weight but still can’t seem to make any progress?

You must always remember that every person is unique in his or her own way. This means that one variable could restrain your weight loss while another variable inhibits another person. Some of these variables could be something you are born with, so it would quite difficult to change these.

However there are also some variables that could be changed, and hopefully this article could identify some of these nuisances that hinder your progress so you can’t lose weight.

The first and easiest thing you could identify is your gender. Research has shown that women will have a harder time losing weight compared to men. Factors like slower metabolism make women have to exert more effort in weight loss compared to men,  sorry ladies.

Another thing that you should know about is  your age may be a factor of your weight. As you age, your metabolism slows down, and this is also accompanied by hormonal changes in the body that causes an imbalance to the normalcy you are used to. That’s why it is harder losing  belly fat when you get older.  You should value your youth while you still have it, because you can’t lose weight as quickly as you did before.

Sleep deprivation is also bad for you if you plan to lose weight. As you sleep, your body uses this time to replenish and repair itself for the activities ahead. This process requires the body to use energy, meaning burn the food you just ate. It would be quite a waste to deprive yourself of the natural fat burning process your body is capable of.

Stress could also be a factor why you can’t lose weight. If you are always worried and anxious, the most common response is that you would be stressed. You naturally seek something to comfort your stress, one of this is food.

This “comfort food” would be consumed more and more if you are always stressed. Stress also produces hormones that are responsible for fat storage. Just remember, the more you stress, the more you can’t lose weight. If you can’t lose weight, you stress yourself more. So try as much as possible to stop this vicious cycle, and stop stressing in the first place.

The last thing you could do if you can’t lose weight is to check your eating habits as a child. Research shows that are certain genes that affect the body in the usage and storage of nutrients. It is said that the diet people are used to could have an influence on the genes themselves causing you to have more weight naturally.
